In practice for almost twenty years, Holly Renken is experienced in the areas of appellate law, divorce and family law, probate law, guardian/conservatorship law, medical malpractice defense, civil rights, higher education law, and general civil litigation.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Ms. Renken received a B.A. in History from Rhodes College and her Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University Law School. While earning her degree, she was Managing Editor of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and recipient of the General Maurice Hirsch Award. Prior to joining BMJRG, Ms. Renken worked for the Honorable Kenny Armstrong on the Tennessee Court of Appeals for the Western District for five years, giving her invaluable insight for crafting cogent legal arguments that interest appellate court judges.

Ms. Renken is a longtime member of the Association for Women Attorneys Memphis Chapter (AWA) and the Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women (TLAW). She served on the board of both organizations for many years, most recently as the President of TLAW in 2018-2019. She served as an Associate Member of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court. Ms. Renken is currently serving as a Hearing Committee Member for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.
