On May 19, 2021, Jana Lamanna presented a one-hour CLE on Embryo Disposition at the Memphis Bar Association Family Law Mid-Year CLE. Jana’s CLE presentation discussed a long line of family law cases that revolved around disputes over frozen embryos. The first case developed in Tennessee in 1992, and the cases have continued to the present date through appellate courts to state supreme courts. The CLE included a short discussion on the inheritance rights of children conceived through Assisted Reproductive Technology after one of the two progenitors of genetic material dies.
